Five Questions to Ask Before Starting Any Compounded GLP‑1

Compounded GLP‑1 medications have made treatment more accessible — and made careful questions more important. Wherever you go (including here), you deserve straight answers to these five:

1. Who reviews my health history, and are they licensed? A legitimate program starts with a real provider review — not a checkout page. You should know the name and credentials of the person making clinical decisions.

2. Where does the medication come from? Ask about the pharmacy or source, and whether each lot is tested for purity and potency. "Trust us" is not an answer.

3. What is actually in it? Compounded formulations can differ. Ask exactly what is included in yours and why. At Vitality, for example, compounded GLP‑1 medications include methylated B12 — and Monette can explain what that means for you.

4. What are the side effects, and who do I call? Nausea and digestive effects are common early on. You should know what is normal, what is not, and who answers when you have a question mid-week.

5. What does follow-up look like? Dose changes, plateaus, and maintenance all need a plan. If the program ends at the first shipment, it is not a program.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved, and no ethical clinic will tell you otherwise. Bring these questions to your Discovery Call — Vitality welcomes all five.
